Recycles Netball has been running for many years, starting with a number of players from different teams that “recycled” themselves to form a new team playing in the Lilleshall league. The team recruited more players and entered the Walsall league and also the Shrewsbury League.
The idea of forming a club for juniors came on the way home from a match in Walsall in 2002. Rosie Turner was the instigator and she invested a great deal of energy, time and effort into starting the club and into it’s continual growth. Her vision was to make netball available to everyone regardless of ability or social background. Six players turned up to our first “pay as you play” session in Monkmoor Rec and from there it grew! Thirteen years later we are running Now we are running 3 adult teams,, 2 U16s, 3 U14s, 1 U12s 3 U11s, plus Walking Netball and back 2 Netball Sessions and 1 we have an adult team competing in the Prestigious West Midlands Regional League.
We are very proud of our club and of what we have achieved over the years.
We have a wealth of volunteer qualified coaches with vastly different experience. Our lead coaches are all level 2 and the support coaches are mostly level 1. We are lucky to have a number of volunteer parents that help our club run so effectively.
